Side effects of eating too much salt on body health

The ionic compound salt consists of sodium and chloride (NaCl). Salt is one of the essential elements for metabolism, proper muscle function, and transmission of nerve messages. Salt alone causes weight gain, but it can not keep you thirsty anymore course, salt, like other foods, should be consumed in moderation.
